Kashmar raisins are a high-quality product that has earned the city of Kashmar the nickname ‘the syrup house of Khorasan Razavi province’. Kashmar raisins are unique due to their ideal sweetness, high quality, lack of soil contamination, and the fact that the bunches don’t come into contact with the ground. Thanks to these excellent qualities, these raisins have captured a significant market share, and customer demand continues to grow. Three-kilogram packages of this product are known nationwide as ‘green pencil raisins’ or simply ‘pencil raisins’. These raisins are produced in both green and golden varieties using the latest technology and machinery, ensuring high quality.
Approximately 20 varieties of grapes can be found in the vineyards of Kashmar. Pikami and Askari grapes are among the best examples found in this region. These grapes are used to produce green pencil raisins and smoked raisins.
